We have been busy this week learning the ins and outs of our new roaster while going through our seasoning roasts.
Seasoning is a very important first step with a new roaster as it allows us to eliminate any remaining machining oils and manufacturing debris from the drum. In this process we need to take the coffee beans to a VERY dark level which allows the oils to come out of the beans and coat the inside of the drum.
While we can't cup any of this coffee, each seasoning roast brings us one step closer to producing our signature series coffees!
